Tribl
Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 10, 2026
Tribl helps people discover others with shared interests, skill areas, personality signals, and optional connected account data. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account details you provide, such as username, email address, password, profile text, interests, onboarding answers, and quiz or skillcheck results.
- Messages and conversation metadata when you use Tribl messaging.
- Optional Google/YouTube connection data. If you choose to connect Google, Tribl requests YouTube read-only access and imports your YouTube channel subscriptions.
- Basic technical information needed to run the service, protect accounts, debug errors, and maintain reliability.
How we use information
- To create and maintain your Tribl account.
- To show your profile and help match you with people who share interests, skills, YouTube subscriptions, or other compatibility signals.
- To provide messaging, notifications, safety controls, and account support.
- To improve, secure, and troubleshoot Tribl.
Google and YouTube data
Connecting Google is optional. Tribl uses YouTube read-only access only to import your YouTube channel subscriptions so they can be used as matching signals. Tribl does not upload, edit, delete, or publish YouTube data, and does not sell Google user data.
Tribl’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Profile and matching information may be visible to other Tribl users as part of the product. We may share information only with service providers that help operate Tribl, when required by law, or to protect users and the service.
Data retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as needed to provide Tribl, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. You can request deletion of your account or connected data by contacting support.
Your choices
- You can choose not to connect Google.
- You can revoke Google access from your Google Account permissions page.
- You can update profile information in Tribl where editing is available.
